Beta Mail is built on a simple principle: your correspondence is personal. We have designed the app so that your mail stays where it belongs — on your device and with your existing mail provider — and nowhere else.
Beta Mail collects only what is necessary to operate the app and its optional AI features.
We do not collect, store, or process any of the following:
Beta Mail connects directly from your device to the IMAP and SMTP servers of the mail provider you configure. Your messages live on that provider's infrastructure and are governed by their terms and privacy policy. We are not a party to that connection and have no visibility into it.
Locally cached mail and app settings are stored in Apple's ecosystem using their standard sync technologies. Syncing across your devices is governed by Apple's own privacy policy and iCloud terms. We have no visibility into or access to data stored in iCloud.
Beta Mail supports a new class of IMAP message type that carries notifications of publications to the 451 blockchain. These notifications are delivered through the standard mail protocol and stored on your mail provider like any other message. We do not collect, track, or retain any record of which notifications your device receives or processes.
Beta Mail does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The app requires no account creation with us and does not collect personal data. The only server-side data we store is an anonymous identifier used for optional cross-device credit sharing, which contains no personal information.
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
